Very close to The Great Sand Dunes NP. Spectacular view of the valley below the campground. I would stay here again no question.

We had a beautiful view of the San Luis Valley and San Juan mountains beyond it. We could also see the Great Sand Dunes. Easy hike to the Falls.

Beautiful campground and well maintained. Clean bathrooms. I was in #5 and it was a pretty private area, especially by the fire ring. Be prepared for wind! It’s still early in the season so it wasn’t crowded but a group of people were wandering around between 12-1am which woke me up. There were no safety concerns - I was just annoyed they woke me up by being loud. Again, the wind!

Loved the access to the national park without contending with quite as many people. Campsites are a little rougher. Campsite #8 tentpads were all on a slope. However, said slope provides a little more privacy and a little less exposure. Walk to the vault toilet is short but you go out of sight. Parking spot is generous for 2 cars. Plenty of space.

We had a great time. Kids love our site very much. We appreciate the space we have behind our site where kids can go off and explore nature. The view was also amazing from our picnic table. Bathroom is clean and convenience to access from our site.

Great location near the dunes with expansive views. Some of the lower campsites didn’t have as much privacy as I prefer
