The views were great but there was no one there except us. The camp sites are at a loop where people drove by late at night which we didn’t like. It was nice that it was so quiet and the waterfalls were very close.

We had a great site, #3. It was flat, had a great view and was close to the bathrooms. We drove around and some sites were not flat or didn’t have much space so try to do your research on the sites. I selected a site randomly and lucked out.

The campsites were spread out and the views were amazing! I really enjoyed the night spent in the mountains and I have zero complaints.

We enjoyed our time at the campground - it was full, as it was Memorial Day weekend, but we hiked up to Zapata Falls which was just a short hike from our sites. It was a long wait to get into the Sand Dunes, so plan to leave early in the AM to get into the park. Campground was quiet and the restrooms were clean, although there didn't appear to be a host and the cleanliness diminished over the weekend. Site 18 was a pull-off so it was a little awkward with the trailer. Site 17 seemed pretty short for a trailer but worked well for tent campers.

We had a great time! The walk up to Zapata Falls is right by the parking lot. It was a quick walk and so beautiful. Our campsite #8, felt like it was just ours. The other campers were there but we felt like we had our privacy. Because the campsites are on a road with switchbacks every time a car drove by we would then hear it again as it drove the switchback. Bathrooms were clean. The host was nice. We loved our time here.
