The campground was great, fairly quiet and the sites, where we stayed, were separated from others. The sites are a bit small, which was not a problem for us with tents but not for a big trailer or RV. The access to trails and the visitor center is awesome. The only other thing I would suggest is having a contractor offer some small items like fire wood and maybe some provisions. Great campground, clean sites and bathrooms, and beautiful.

I’ve camped at this camp site previously so I knew what to expect. The individual sires are well maintained, as are the toilet facilites. They were working on an infrastructure project along the road to the Visitor’s Center while I was there, but that didn’t really impact me much.

This campground was a nice place to stay and wasn’t too noisy or busy. It was a good bass for exploring the south rim and there’s a hiking trail that connects the campground to the Visitor Center. There is water available in a couple places, but one isn’t supposed to use it for bathing or dishwashing. It was a bit of a walk from C Loop to the garbage dumpsters.

Nice fairly private campsite surrounded by trees, campground seemed great overall. Had deer walk through our campsite a couple times, plus a variety of birds

The Black Canyon of the Gunnison is very beautiful and interesting. The Visitors Center and pullouts/points of view are excellent.
The campground is marginal for parking and spacing. Most spaces are just pull-offs of the road, which is narrow, allowing very little room between campers. We wouldn't stay at the campground again, but would certainly visit the area for its beauty and scenery.
