Had a site with electric. Loved the privacy of the sites…not on top of one another.

We booked 2 nights for tent camping at the South Rim campground September 20th and 21st, 2022. Unfortunately, we were only able to stay the first night due to a big thunderstorm coming. The campsites were nice and spaced out with a lot of brush in between to block your site from the surrounding sites for privacy. Since we were tent camping, we had to use the vault toilets. The flies were pretty bad in the toilet areas but this is to be expected. There are no sinks to wash hands. We hiked the Gunnison route which was a tough route (you need a wilderness permit to do this hike) but very fun and a great workout. We drove the South Rim road to the overlook areas with the Painted Wall being our favorite.

It would be nice if the campsite were level - had a hard time leveling our MH. Also since you can not use a generator it would be nice if there were more spots with electrical hookups.

This campsite was easy to find which was super helpful. There campsites are somewhat close together which made our party feel better since we heard coyotes very near. Stars are amazing to see here.

Spectacular views and hiking experience! Great campsites as well. We prefer boondocking so plenty of campsites without electricity were available for our little 18' tow behind R-Pod.

Very nice campground with electric hook up in loop B. Rustic with pit toilets but to be expected up that high. Nice walking trail to some canyon sites. Overall the sights around the park are tremendous. We also had a nice ranger presentation at the campground amphitheater.
