We were in B6 with electric hookup. We were close to the Rim Rock trail that took you to the Visitors center...about a mile.
No cell service, but when walking the dog, found service in loop A, site 22. so that was a nice discovery.
It was a quiet campground and we will definitely be back.

Clean, quiet, nice spot. We usually don't camp in campgrounds. This was just fine.
(Some folks didn't abide by quiet hours, but meh, what are you gonna do?)

The campsites are nice and even though they are close together there is separation between the sites and you can't really see your neighbor. The vault toilets are kept very clean and smell free. Water is at a premium, since it has to be shipped in, so make sure your RV has enough water in the tank.

Beautiful area and our two sites were nice and spacious. You have to bring in your own water for everything other than for drinking. All water is hauled up to the valley so it has to be conserved. No dump station in the park.
Be sure to view the night sky and attend park ranger talks.

Great place. Nice campgrounds.
We were there in late September so the crowds were smaller.
There is no water to fill water tanks. Just water for drinking.

#27 was a good site, felt fairly private The parking space is parallel to the site so you cannot back into it if you are sleeping in your vehicle. The tent spot was level, might be a little tight if you have a very large tent. Pit toilets were clean, not too far, not too close.

We used the campground for tent camping and enjoyed our experience. A short walk to the rim trail and amphitheater. Camp host was on the ball, making frequent rounds.

We loved the Black Canyon of the Gunnison NP. The views and night sky are spectacular!
We were a bit surprised, based on the many warnings about bears that we'd read, that there was no bear box when we arrived at our campsite. After reading all the instructions about being cautious with food and other scented items, we thought there'd be one, as we've experienced at other national parks. Also, when we drove through the other loops and saw boxes at each site, it seemed strange to us that there were none in the B loop. Since our pop-up camper has canvas sides, we were a bit anxious about that.
We still had a wonderful time, though, and we appreciate all that's done to make our national parks great!
