Sites were very densely spaced and the campground was almost completely booked. Though closely spaced it was relatively quite. Sites had low growing oaks and brush that shielded other campsites to some extent. The vault toilets were not well maintained with a lot of flies and overall stench but were also heavily used.

Excellent experience! We stayed on the South Rim for two nights and had a nice time. The site was layout was a little funky, but worked out fine. I would definitely recommend checking it out. Nice trails and a few are dog friendly.

Lovely site, ideal amenities, beautiful views, and the Canyon is a hard-to-beat Southern Colorado waypoint.

Campgrounds were clean and quiet. Lack of good shade though, bring an umbrella in the summer

Nice campsite let us get an early jump on seeing the park. Ranger program at night was excellent, kids loved learning about owls.

Great campground in an amazing national park. We stayed in loop B #2, the only loop with electricity. The sites vary in size, ours was a turn out with picnic table and a tent pad. They all looked to be gravel and not very level. Some natural shade is available but the trees in the park are scrub oak and are not very tall. Cell coverage (AT&T) was poor, a booster may have been helpful. Lots of wildlife in the area. There were events held every night by park personnel. Hiking is available right from the campground. There is not a dump at this campground nor is there water available for your RV. There is only water for individual use. Do yourself a favor and drive down to the river on the winding East Portal Road. We would stay here again.
