Great secluded camp site. I liked the separate space for the tent which was big enough for a 4 person tent (with room to spare). The bathrooms were about a 2 minute walk and were very clean and smelled fresh and even had hand sanitizer. There was potable water at the front of the loop road. Overall I would highly recommend site A13. There was no cell service for ATT or Tmobile at the camp site.

Our location was nice, but my only complaint was in the description it says shaded. This spot is not shaded for our tent, nor for the picnic table. What is nice is it is a nice view of the stars. The bathrooms were clean and there was a working water spigot.

Nice campground. The bathrooms are pit toilets but were some of the nicest I've used. There is one spot to get clean water, so bring containers to carry / store it. Because Black Canyon is a dark sky park, the campground has minimal lighting which allows for SPECTACULAR views of the night sky.
We didn't find any information about dishwashing/gray water disposal and our bear box (site A22) was broken). We tried to locate a ranger or the camp host (who does have a site), but we never found either one. We left a note on the host's whiteboard for a few hours but then just solved the problem ourselves and erased it.

The Black Canyon of the Gunnison is a gem of a national park with incredible views, great history, and some nice walks.
The South rim campground was a bit disappointing as the camping sites are very small and feel crowded.

This is a lovely campground with many birds to enjoy. The canyon views are beautiful and the trip to the east portal was memorable. Trees and vegetation between campsites provided some privacy.

Amazing park! Super unique campground, sites were close together but still secluded. The sunset and stargazing was superb! Make sure to bring lots of water as they truck in a limited amount only for drinking. (None for bathing/cooking/cleaning). Would definitely recommend!
