Matterhorn Campground offers a beautiful setting with friendly and accommodating hosts, making it a popular choice for campers. The facilities, including clean showers and restrooms, received high praise, contributing to an enjoyable stay. We stayed at site 025 on 8/13 on our way through Colorado on a cross country roadtrip. The sites were close together and lacked privacy, but we felt safe as two young women. The area is beautiful and I would love to camp here again, although would probably try to find a more private site/one better suited to tent camping. There is no tent pad and we had a difficult time getting our stakes in the ground. The shower facilities are free, warm, large, and clean which was a wonderful surprise and is much more than I could say about most campground showers we used on this trip.

Our campsite was nestled in an aspen forest. We opted for a site without full hook ups, therefore, the space we had was quite private. The camp hosts were very friendly and helpful. The location is very convenient to Telluride, while being away from the touristy feel of town. There is a beautiful lake 1 mile away for paddle boarding. We had several choices for jeep trips and mountain biking very close. I highly recommend this campground!

The excellent host, "Fish", was VERY helpful with our mixed up reservation. He was also a pleasure to talk with...especially, about Antartica. He, along with the other hosts really made our stay at Matterhorn!

very pretty location. The free tram to Telluride is a 15 minute drive includes free parking. would be nice to have more full hook up sites on property to reserve.

Our experience at Matterhorn campground was superb! The location is gorgeous. Camp hosts were friendly and extremely helpful. Facilities and camp sites were well maintained. Restrooms were dated but very clean. Nearby hiking options were excellent.
