Matterhorn Campground offers a beautiful setting with friendly and accommodating hosts, making it a popular choice for campers. The facilities, including clean showers and restrooms, received high praise, contributing to an enjoyable stay. Loved this site. Hot shower, good people and lovely location. Only 7 miles to the free gondola, at the Village, for a visit to the town of Telluride. Hiking, shopping, restaurants all in a wonderful environment.

The campsite was nice and the host was very helpful. However, the campsite was surrounded by wildflowers which attracted a huge number of flies. This made it difficult to sit at our picnic table and enjoy being outdoors.

The bugs were awful we couldn't get out of the camper the entire time. The camp host was rude as well.

We love Matterhorn. Stayed in site 24, a full hook up site. Anna and Jocelyn really take care of the facilities. Starlink coverage was excellent.

What a beautiful campground in a stunning part of Colorado. It’s location is handy for a trip into Telluride for live music, dining and groceries, and a drive/hike to Bridal Veil Falls, or down to Trout Lake to kayak, or to explore Ophir Pass and the many breathtaking hikes nearby. Even close enough for a day trip down to Hovenweep Natrional Monument taking into the Senic byway.
While the flies were a bit outrageous this year due to much moisture, the campground is well cared for.

This is a fantastic little campground. Nice facilities, great host, etc. We try to stay there each time we travel to Telluride. Only complaint is the difficulty to book a spot due to the popularity. No fault of the campground though.

We really liked Matterhorn location and beautiful vistas. We stayed 2 nights in July. Well maintained, nice bathrooms with flush toilets. Hiking trail that leads to FS road where you can hike to two lakes from the campground. We drove to good fly fishing on the Delores River and into Telluride. The only downside to our visit was an incessantly barking dog two sites over and the camp host's dog who was off leash and tried to bite our dog that was on leash. Guess the rules didn't apply to her?

Site 15 is beautiful surrounded by Aspens. It's near to the restroom which is clean. The hot shower is working which is a big, big bonus.
The camp is near to Trout Lake and a driving distance to Telluride. Will be back definitely and preferably during fall season where foliage will be awesome.

The campsite we reserved was completely unusable for tents. The showers were also ice cold.
