Road bed horrible, potholes the size of the black bear. All good with that exception.

I just had one night at Matterhorn and look forward to going back. The campsites were lovely, with varying degrees of privacy, and the groves of aspen and high mountain peaks surrounding the campground are stunning. The bathrooms were clean, and I was especially delighted to have a shower at the end of a long, hot day of driving. The highway quieted right down when it got dark, which made it wonderful for sleeping.

The most beautiful scenery. The campground host (young man) was very accommodating in helping us change our site. We needed a tent pad and not the pull through that were put in. The bathroom /shower was a pleasant surprise. Love this part of Colorado.

Matterhorn is a wonderful place for us. We love the high country and the quiet lushness of the forest. The campground has been our favorite for almost 20 years. It is much busier now that in years past, and being successful getting a reservation online is tricky. The campground hosts were relaxed and just engaged enough to make it successful.

All good except women's bathroom needed maintenance - sink clogged, unacceptable shower water pressure

Decent size camp ground, but not too big to be over crowded. Spaces are nice, most are shaded. Bathrooms were clean. Only one shower worked on the womens side. Camp host was great and super sweet. Short drive from Telluride, and you can hear road noise but it's not terrible.

Host was very put out with our questions and made a comment that “if she didn’t have grey hair already ..”
More than 2 people needed her assistance and she didn’t seem to want to be bothered to explain or help .
