This is the longest we've ever stayed at one campsite, 4 nights, as we usually opt for dispersed camping. There is no cell coverage for miles, and we loved it! The showers are included and are better than I expected: warm-ish and plenty of room. But as basic as it gets, mostly just a strong spray of water. Most of the campsites on the outside of the circle are fairly private, some very private. 18 was our favorite, but the ones by the creek are also great. There was a bit of road noise, but considering how close we were it wasn't awful. We found the host very gracious and felt she took good care of the property. There is also a no-trailer campground up the road called Priest Lake which was entirely FF and mostly empty. There is a wonderful walk through beautiful meadows between the campgrounds. We also saw amazing dispersed campsites on the way to Hope Lake trailhead!

We just LOVE this clean campsite in one of the prettiest places on earth! We really enjoyed Trout Lake nearby. It’s nestled in what looks like the Swiss Alps.
The campsite was perfect!

Great host: friendly and helpful
Very old campground: broken toilet lids, handles, bathroom door locks, signs damaged and shower costs $8 for it to be luke warm at best
Great location: Site 15 was amazing!

Great campsite with electricity, flush toilets, and free showers. Camp hosts Joslyn & Sue kept the camp clean and were very knowledgeable (recommend you give them raises!) The camp was close to Lizard Head Wilderness with great trails and lots of sprouting edible mushrooms.

We really enjoyed our time at Matterhorn. It is a smaller campground with beautiful views, nice tree cover, and solid amenities. We appreciated the cleanliness of the bathrooms and also how well ventilated they were. On-site hosts were friendly, as well. We had site 27 which was on the perimeter and felt very private. The only pseudo-negative was occasional highway noise, but really only when large vehicles went by.

First come first serve is very hard to predict. We spent more time trying to find a camp site eacn night that it took away from the experience.

Showers are free with your reservation for an overnight camp spot. Gorgeous Aspen grove backs up to the back side of the campground.

We really loved the wooded setting but it's unfortunately close to the highway with the attendant traffic noise. We would definitely go again but make sure to reserve a site further in to help with that.

Views were amazing, the river was cold, and the camp host was very friendly! Would definitely recommend the hike to Trout Lake
