Matterhorn Campground offers a beautiful setting with friendly and accommodating hosts, making it a popular choice for campers. The facilities, including clean showers and restrooms, received high praise, contributing to an enjoyable stay. The views are great. The sites are separated well. Very clean. Mountain Village is near by. A great place to visit. It has a gondola you can ride for free to. Telluride.

Our stay was excellent. Easy to navigate campground, although finding the entrance at night was difficult. If you use GPS, it will tell you to turn on the road adjacent to the campground. That road is narrow and dirt... difficult to turn around in at night when you don’t know the surroundings! Otherwise, everything else was great. The camp host was friendly and could be found cleaning the common areas every morning. You’ll enjoy your stay too, I’m sure!

Bathrooms were clean. Four campsites around us were very loud, with loud music and talking to 1:30am. Thankfully it started raining and they went into their tents and campers.

Beautiful campground! The camp hosts were super nice and were following all guidance and cleaning for COVID. The weather was a bit rough (expected for being pretty high & that early in the season) but the location was great for visiting Telluride. Beautiful!

Well maintained campground in a fantastic location. Close to everything you might be interested in including shopping, biking, hiking, fishing, 4 wheeling etc.

This is a great campground for tent or trailer camping. We brought a tent and picked Site 25. Would not recommend that site for a tent -- there is very little shade and no tent pad. The walk-in sites are ideal for tents and have great mountain views. Other good tent sites would be 16-19. Toilets were all clean. Camp has flush toilets and a pit toilet closer to the walk-in sites. Hot water and showers also available. Great location for hiking (the Galloping Goose trail can be accessed from the campground, or for a flatter walk, there is a gravel road right up that same path that has a couple nice views). Camp hosts were also very friendly.
