Clean and well spaced camp sites with lots of shade. Short hike to Gramby Lake. The city of Grand Lake is about a 20 minute drive away with excellent dining, activities, boat rentals and shopping.

Great experience among pine trees in a well kept camp site. No electrical hookup, but still nice being "off grid" with our travel trailer.

We were only able to use the site for a couple days out of our full reservation, but while we were there it was nothing short of awesome.
You can definitely tell things are well kept, and the folks that care for the grounds really take pride in their work.

Incredible site, a walk to...the views, the sunrise, the chill morning air, a giant lovely body of water...a great place to be sure!

Nice campground. Spaces not stacked on top of one another. Restrooms were not the cleanest. Never saw the campground host.

We stayed at Big Rock CG for 6 nights in late September. The fall leaves were very beautiful and there are lots of choices for hiking in the vicinity. The CG is 8 miles off highway 34 and is about 35-40 minutes from the west entrance to RMNP.
Paula, the campground host, is the friendliest and most helpful host we’ve ever encountered. We had trouble with our solar and she came to our rescue on two occasions. She clearly loves her job and made all the difference in our stay.
The water had just been turned off for the season but we found potable water at the RV dump (free, donations accepted), in Granby. Granby is about 20 minutes away.
This campground is a lovely, somewhat remote place in the middle of stunning beauty. It is somewhat shady so plan accordingly if you rely on solar.

The concern and care offered to campers was as excellent as the site itself. Toilet facility was maintained as well if not better than any I have visited. The beauty of this place and the good nature of fellow campers was a very welcome respite from the frantic pace of my life recently. I look forward to returning many times over the years ahead.

This was a great, clean, quiet camp site. I very much enjoyed my time there.
