Roaring Fork Campground - camp sites aren't too close together and it stays relatively quiet. Bathrooms are close no matter which site you choose, the bathrooms are also CLEANED which we appreciated so much. Would be a good idea to check-in with the nice campground manager, plus he sells firewood bundles for $9. Most sites have access to the lake which can get really cold, so bring stuff that floats! My only complaint is that there aren't enough trees that are tall enough to get any shade during the middle of the day. So be prepared for really HOT sunny days. Very awesome -each site has a brand new large-ish Fire Pit with a rack for grilling! Also awesome - each site has a Bear-Proof locker, that is huge and looked like it could hold about 8 normal sized coolers and more. Make sure to bring your own pad-lock or some other lock for it and use it at night store your food. We also used it to keep firewood dry overnight as well.
Our site had a section for tents which was approximately 20' x 10' so it easily accommodated our two medium sized tents. Plus each site has parking space for or or two vehicles. Also being right by the lake, it stayed a bit windy and chilly, but that's probably due to time of year. Overall it was amazing and worth going.

Policies & Rules
Arrival & departure
- Stay at the campsite you reserved; swapping is not permitted.
Cancellation policy
- Reservation fees are non-refundable. For campsites, cabins, lookouts, yurts, group sites, and similar stays, we charge a reservation service fee of $8.
- Standard cancellations usually have a $10 cancellation fee. Customers can generally cancel before the check-in date online.
- Late cancellation rules differ by stay type.
- Individual campsites: cancelling after 12:00am local time the day before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
- Cabins, lookouts, and yurts: cancelling less than 14 days before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
- One-night reservations: a late cancellation usually forfeits the full amount paid, up to the total original reservation cost.
- Modifications are allowed before the cut-off window, but fees depend on the change. Changing to dates completely outside the original reservation dates may trigger a $10 change fee. Extending or shortening a stay that still includes original dates usually has no change fee, though refunds may depend on timing and facility rules. Switching to the same type of campsite for the same dates usually has no change fee, but price differences are charged or refunded.
- Early departures may or may not be refunded. At certain facilities, partial refunds may be possible if staff can mark the site available for other visitors. No refund is given for a night if the early departure is requested after that day's check-out time.
- Security deposits are separate. Security deposits may be refunded to the original payment method if the facility is left in acceptable condition, as determined by the property.

- Keep your campsite clean and avoid food attractants to ensure safety from bears.
Safety & rules
- All boats must be inspected to prevent invasive species.
Fees & deposits
- Admission fees apply for the Arapaho National Recreation Area: $5 for one day, $10 for three days, $15 for a week, $30 for a year.
Site capacity
- Some sites may be available on a first-come, first-served basis.
- Campsites must be occupied within 26 hours of reservation start or will be re-rented.
- Tents must be set up on the designated pads.

Fires & fuel
