What Guests Are Saying
Arapaho Bay offers a beautiful campground experience with friendly and helpful hosts, clean facilities, and access to scenic hiking trails and Monarch Lake. While some campers noted the proximity of sites and occasional noise, many appreciated the serene environment and wildlife sightings, including bears and moose. However, the lake's low water levels due to drought were a common concern, along with issues related to vehicle fees and road conditions. Overall, visitors enjoyed their stays and expressed a desire to return.

Beautiful campground. Site was more private then many of them (site 32 MORA) which appreciated. Short walk down the hill to the water. Beautiful mountain/river/valley view.

We stayed at Big Rock the smell of the pine were amazing. Having the water so close was an absolute delight. Please note there is no accessable water at the Big Rock campground. There has been for a few years and will take a few years to fix, your government. They have a 1000 plus barrel up past the Bay Moraine. The water barrel get filled maybe daily, not to sure. You can also go to Stillwater RV & campground toward Grand Lake to get some water too. Fill it up. We loved the campground.

There are very few good water view campsites that have shade which made camping miserable on full sun days. There is very little shade overall in this campground. It is an 8 mi drive in on a dirt road from highway 34 which means 30+ minutes in and out each day to leave the campground. The water main was broken at the campground which made it very inconvenient and difficult to obtain water from a neighboring campground. All in all, it. Good experience - pick another campground!

Campsite was nice. Nice distance from other camp sites. Very pretty area. Unfortunately our hike to Watanga Lake was cut short with soooo many downed trees. Really beat us up.
I suggest you do a better job with signage. Our camping reservation said the campground was Mora so we spent time driving around with our camper looking for a Mora campground. I guess it is the Moraine campground. Really? Why wouldn't you just put Moraine on the reservation??? We talked to other campers who said the same thing......signage needs to be better in that area.
Thanks for listening.
