This campground offers beautiful scenery. Some spots are tight to get into if you have a large camper. The bathrooms were clean and conveniently located throughout the campground. If you need water you will have to carry it in jugs as a hose can not be hooked up to the spickets. Remember to keep your coolers put away at night because the bears roam the campground at night. We saw moose. Deer and bear while camping. The only other thing is watch your children on the roadway. The cars go way to fast down the main road through the campgrounds.

We have been to Arapaho Bay many times and are always very pleased with our experience. Hiking trails are accessible from within the campground and the lake is a short walk from many of the sites.

Beautiful spot that's off the beaten path. Vault toilets were well maintained, plenty of fresh water, and plenty of trees to hang an overhead cover for the picnic table.

We camped for 6 nights at the Moraine campground in Arapahoe Bay this July. It is a beautiful campground with well spaced out sites, giving you plenty of privacy. There is a nice beach area on a sheltered cove of the lake - where we enjoyed swimming and lots of water sports. The mountain scenery is spectacular and there is lots of wildlife in the campground - we even had a mama moose and her calf walk through our campsite early one morning! The campground staff does a great job of cleaning the restrooms - the latrines never smelled at all. We highly recommend this campground and will continue coming back ourselves as often as possible.

Policies & Rules
Arrival & departure
- Stay at the campsite you reserved; swapping is not permitted.
Cancellation policy
- Reservation fees are non-refundable. For campsites, cabins, lookouts, yurts, group sites, and similar stays, we charge a reservation service fee of $8.
- Standard cancellations usually have a $10 cancellation fee. Customers can generally cancel before the check-in date online.
- Late cancellation rules differ by stay type.
- Individual campsites: cancelling after 12:00am local time the day before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
- Cabins, lookouts, and yurts: cancelling less than 14 days before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
- One-night reservations: a late cancellation usually forfeits the full amount paid, up to the total original reservation cost.
- Modifications are allowed before the cut-off window, but fees depend on the change. Changing to dates completely outside the original reservation dates may trigger a $10 change fee. Extending or shortening a stay that still includes original dates usually has no change fee, though refunds may depend on timing and facility rules. Switching to the same type of campsite for the same dates usually has no change fee, but price differences are charged or refunded.
- Early departures may or may not be refunded. At certain facilities, partial refunds may be possible if staff can mark the site available for other visitors. No refund is given for a night if the early departure is requested after that day's check-out time.
- Security deposits are separate. Security deposits may be refunded to the original payment method if the facility is left in acceptable condition, as determined by the property.

- No water connections or utility hookups for RVs.

- Keep your campsite clean and avoid food attractants to ensure safety from bears.
Safety & rules
- All boats must be inspected to prevent invasive species.
Fees & deposits
- Admission fees apply for the Arapaho National Recreation Area: $5 for one day, $10 for three days, $15 for a week, $30 for a year.
Site capacity
- Some sites may be available on a first-come, first-served basis.
- Campsites must be occupied within 26 hours of reservation start or will be re-rented.
- Tents must be set up on the designated pads.

Fires & fuel
- Obtain firewood locally and burn it on-site to prevent harmful organisms.

- Vehicles must fit on the designated parking spur; off-road parking is not allowed.
