Chambers Lake

Many sites here are double sites meaning double the fee regardless of if you actually bring two families or two vehicles. Numerous double sites had just one family. It's a very nice area even with the burn scars nearby; nearly all the trees on the shores surrounding the lake are dead. The campground has nice pine trees for shade at least in July 2022. Campsite 009 is surprisingly close to the main highway sound wise; not close walking wise. Bathrooms were a bit rough smell wise especially in parts of the campground where there were double the people. We did like this campground overall, host was friendly and helpful, altitude is over 9,000 ft so it gets up out of the summer heat. This campground is just a bit more expensive for a weekend getaway if all you can get is a double site when you all you need is a single. Kayaking and paddle boarding on the lake is lovely.

When it rain, there would be 2 to 3 inches of water around my tend. Campsite site was a fish bowl after rain. site 27, never again.

Josh was a great host! Found us a two night spot so we didn’t have to cancel our trip! Campground is clean and well kept as always!!

Everything was truly wonderful, but the vault toilets were not kept as clean as I believe they should be.

Stayed at campsite 35. It was shaded, clean and near drinking water, restrooms, and lake. Had a blast paddleboarding! Restroom ran out of toilet paper for half a day before they refilled it. Bear safe box was helpful to have. Beautiful and quiet area!

We were fine the first two nights , the weather was cool and it was quiet, then came the people to the site next to us, a double site, we counted 9 adults and 7 kids , they ran a noisy generator, which they put as far from their site as possible , sadly it was pointed directly at our site and the noise level was unacceptable, It was useless asking them to place their generator in their campsite, fortunately we had some family members at another site and we packed up and moved to share that site. We have been camping here for years and we do find Chambers Lake to be a enjoyable campground, and we will surely be back, just seems that as time goes by, there are more rude people that in one way or another, make things miserable for other campers and visitors, not just us

Beautiful, well-maintained campground. Hosts were present, but not overbearing. Zero cell coverage (Sprint/T-Mobile) which was wonderful! Definitely plan to spend some time on the lake. The views are breathtaking!

Campground was clean and well organized. Joshua and his wife did a marvelous job with the restrooms and flexibility with site usage. Beautiful setting even with some surrounding burned areas. Campsites were spared the devastation.
