Chambers Lake campground offers a well-maintained and clean environment with spacious sites and great access to hiking trails. While many visitors were disappointed by the lake being drained due to dam repairs and felt communication about the situation was lacking, they still appreciated the campground facilities, friendly hosts, and the surrounding natural beauty. The campsite was beautiful, and there was space nearby to birdwatch and wander. Things were clean and in good condition. I was puzzled about why one of each pair of restrooms was always closed for maintenance. Which one was closed switched more than once per day, so it may be about extra cleanings for COVID, but it meant lines for the restroom sometimes.

Campsite was fine but lots of small litter. Disappointed in the hosts this year. Seemed most intent on doing nothing or talking to others. There was a loud barking dog our first night that barked late at night and early morning, Hosts did nothing.
The setting of this campground is beautiful a great experience in spite of lazy hosts.

For the first time in the many years that we have gone to chambers, we could only get a site where there was no view of the water. Chambers continues to be very popular and getting reservations is difficult.
The weather was good, the park was clean. Didn’t see anyone catching fish at the lake.

It was a very good campsite, not over crowded, clean, clean pit toilets, reservation was correct. Other campers were socially distant, but quiet and friendly

Chambers Lake is one of my favorite places to camp. Had fun paddle boarding and even caught a fish! :)

Hard to get reservations and always full. Nice campground near Chambers lake. Fair to good fishing for stockers, some bigger trout. Can hike there. Location is near other hiking sites and other lakes.

The campground hosts at Chambers Lake CG did an excellent job and you could tell, from the clean bathrooms to the orderliness in which the campground was run.

Chambers Lake is the ideal family campground. Quiet, distant sites, lake access, open areas to play, easy hikes, clean, wel-cared for. We couldn’t ask for anything more! We loved every minute!

Love this place! Campground is very clean, the other guests were nice and respectful of ‘neighbors’, the paddling is fantastic and the views are gorgeous. We were lucky enough to see an adolescent moose, a Merganser hen with her three ducklings, a deer, and a bald eagle! Brenda the campground host was wonderful, very friendly and helpful. Definitely going back next year.

We went camping here July 2020, and it was incredibly busy. We got a reservation because of a last minute cancellation (you have to reserve online 4 days in advance regardless). Our reservation was only for Saturday, so we tried to disperse camp Friday which ended up being a 4+ hour driving day just to find a campsite. If you are camping in 2020 up by Chambers, don't plan on dispersed camping or first come first serve. It's VERY BUSY! We did end up getting 1 more FCFS site (we had 8 people but 4 cars and 3 tents so we couldn't fit at one site) and it was a 5+ minute walk from our other campsite. We were one of 4 interested parties in the fcfs site, the only way we got it was waiting from 9AM-12PM until the campers left, then immediately grabbing it. Other than the hectic experience of reservations/first come first serve, we had a great time. The camp host (we met two of them) were very kind and helpful, but not too "in your face" or overly involved. The bathrooms were very clean and Chambers Lake is a few minute walk from all the campsites. The tent pads are pretty small, so that wasn't ideal (we had space at our site for another tent but couldn't use it because it wasn't on the pad). The campsites are very close together compared to some other reserved sites we have been to for sure. No cell service at all, so that's nice. The fishing was okay, not great. The day use parking lot is nice and has a few picnic tables. We had a sunshade which was very much needed, it got pretty hot. Everyone was quiet & courteous, we had a great time overall. We will probably seek out a more private campsite if we go again, but I'd recommend this campground to anyone!
