Beautiful campground not too far from Denver. The drive up Golden Gate Canyon Road was crazy (we had a trailer). The rest of the time we took Hwy 160. Nice overlook from the campground. Cool temps at night when you are at 9200 ft! Not too far from Hidden Treasure Trailhead by Black Hawk - great hiking and mountain biking!

Clean bathrooms and great view from the vista! Cell phone service is really spotty and the sites are a little too close together.

Really nice spot, you owe it to yourself to do the short vista hike. I’d ignore others reviews saying the sites are well spaced out, as they are fairly close together.

We stayed in site 15. It's a nice, wooded site with views of the mountains. However, it was very difficult to get my 26 ft travel trailer in it. The road goes downhill, and there is no room on the other side. I would not recommend putting an RV in that site.
