What Guests Are Saying
Columbine Campground offers beautiful scenery, clean facilities, and a friendly camp host, making it a pleasant camping experience. Many visitors enjoyed the hiking opportunities and proximity to local attractions, with some even spotting wildlife like moose. However, noise from nearby off-road vehicles and loud campers can be disruptive, particularly on weekends.

Off road vehicles drive through the campground at all hours, people were burning fires during a state wide fire ban, and VERY LOUD techno music was played until 4:37am. I know this exact time because I was awake due to the techno music. The camp host? He was present and camped across the road from all of this and did absolutely nothing. We left two days early.

This was a great campsite, but my rating is only for personal experience. I stayed at site 014 and was camping from my street motorcycle and easily accessible for the bike. Toilet and city water were right across from the site. What would have been good to know before booking is that this is primarily used by those looking to use OHV's (Off Highway Vehicles). This drew a primarily younger and LOUDER crowd than I was looking for since I was hoping for peace and quiet. The roadway to access the campground is 1.5 miles long and washboarded.

Great place to sit back and enjoy mother nature or if you have ATV's, excellent trails though out the area.
This has been our go to place for years.

Nothing fancy, but great open spaces, very clean bathrooms, friendly camp manager. Can be a little noisy since there is an off-road vehicle parking spot close by, but that's why we camped here - very close to a ton of off-road trails. Good shade, bathrooms are vault toilets, can buy firewood there - does have water spouts to fill up but no RV hook-ups or electricity. Lots are good size and you can have multiple tents/RV in one site - up to 8 people. Our second time here - will come back!
