What Guests Are Saying
Columbine Campground offers beautiful scenery, clean facilities, and a friendly camp host, making it a pleasant camping experience. Many visitors enjoyed the hiking opportunities and proximity to local attractions, with some even spotting wildlife like moose. However, noise from nearby off-road vehicles and loud campers can be disruptive, particularly on weekends.

There was a lot of hiking and a reservoir close by for fishing. Not sure it had fish though ; ) We will definitely go back next season.

I think we had the best campsite very spread out, but this place was beautiful and had everything we needed and were able to watch the sunrise and the sunset. It was gorgeous!

Super clean facilities. Camp host does a great job.
Off-road vehicles driving close by late at night woke me up. Then gunshots throughout the night followed by more off-road vehicles made it impossible to sleep. Will not come back. Sheriff needs to stop the noise.

It's a nice area in the woods, but poorly maintained. There was trash all over my site. I picked up tons of metal and sharp objects in just a small area around the picnic table. I wouldn't come here again unless I have to.

Camp host was super. He allowed us to move to more level site with our friends and was really nice about it. Super host.

Lovely campground, and we took easy excursions to St. Mary's Glacier and Golden Gate Canyon State Park. We also enjoyed the arcade + taqueria in Central City, Monte Lobo. The campground was very clean and quiet during our Sunday-Wednesday visit, and the woods stretching behind the campsites were pleasant to explore.
