What Guests Are Saying
Columbine Campground offers beautiful scenery, clean facilities, and a friendly camp host, making it a pleasant camping experience. Many visitors enjoyed the hiking opportunities and proximity to local attractions, with some even spotting wildlife like moose. However, noise from nearby off-road vehicles and loud campers can be disruptive, particularly on weekends.

We stayed 2 nights and the experience was great! Not much WiFi signal but a beautiful location and easy to get to nearby towns if needed. Good tent pad and clean firepits and bathrooms.

I love the accessibility to OHV trails and the proximity to town. Fernando was the camp host and he was Fantastic! He kept the campground clean, was always working and very helpful in adjusting our sites. WE SAW A MOOSE IN CAMP! A big bull moose came straight through the campground, it was awesome!

Lots of other campers playing loud music, lots of loud music and engines revving late into the night. No sense of privacy or peacefulness whatsoever.

This is a nice campground. The host Fernando was SO friendly and polite. He keeps the bathrooms so clean. We were impressed. There are UTVs but it was not as loud as we expected. Great launching location to lots of trails and hiking.

Nice area close to Denver. Amazingly quiet for a busy holiday weekend. The camp host is awesome and the bathrooms are the cleanest I've experienced in quite awhile!

Clean campground. We have stayed several times here. Just be aware that this campground is close to a popular front range ATV/ OHV entry point, so you can expect occasional ATV sounds. Some ATV'ers camp at Columbine, but many more park just past the cemetaries down the hill and use the road to get to the cut-off trail for ATV's. On weekends especially you should expect noise! Almost without exception, the ATV'ers are respectful and slow inside the campground, but once ouside Columbine proper, they can be heard on the road.

Such a cute campground! Close to the city but then far enough into the mountains. Camp host was super sweet and campground owner is super cool!
