My camping trip to Dowdy Lake , site 34, was exceptional!! The site was right on the lake, the camp hosts kept it clean before I arrived, this site included a level tent area, clean fire pit and very level driveway for my Class C RV.. Couldn't have been more perfect spot and it was close to the little town of Red Feather Lakes where I could bike and get a sandwich and cup of coffee!!! There is hiking, fishing, paddle boarding & canoeing at the lake and so quiet and relaxing...

We absolutely love this campground! It has the cleanest vault toilets I've ever seen. Camp hosts are amazing. And it's so beautiful and has a bit to do for everyone! Although I'm confident the fish hate me here because I can never get them to come say hello to my bait! Haha.

The lake is beautiful.
Tooooooo many dogs. Honestly people leave them home. We were near a yappy dog starting at 6am and going thoughout the weekend. It also blows my mind that someone who goes to such a beautiful place with their dog(s) don't pick up after them. The camp hosts, who were very nice, said they are constantly cleaning up after others dogs. There were also many off leash and then you have to hear the owners call for their dogs. Sure takes away from the peaceful setting. We had spot 25 which was right on the lake and we loved it. It was a spot where you have to haul in your stuff, we knew that and had a wagon. The only problem was getting out. The erosion of the ground around the parking lot made getting stuff back up the hill pretty difficult. A little repair there would be great.
