It clearly says up to 2 vehicles and up to 8 people at the sight on the reservation. Two vehicles and the campground host charged me $8 for the second vehicle per day??? No receipt, no nothing, just a cash transaction...probably pocketed the money.

This campsite is an absolute gem! It is a great combination of forest and lakes with lots of hiking, biking, and water sports available. The town has a great tavern if you need a break from camp cooking. It is dog friendly, and best of all, there is power available at all the sites to there is none of the infernal noise that generators make.

From Fort Collins, take Highway 287 north for approximately 24 miles to Livermore. Turn west on County Road 74 and continue about 23 miles to Dowdy Lake Road. Turn right, then another right onto Dowdy Drive and continue to the campground.
Dowdy Lake is accessed via Highway 287, which is approximately 24 miles from Fort Collins. From Highway 287, the route continues on County Road 74 for about 23 miles before reaching Dowdy Lake Road.
