Dowdy lake is beautiful. The restrooms are always clean and it's so peaceful. The hosts are friendly and helpful. We go a couple of times every summer.

Dowdy Lake is a beautiful spot to camp, hike, kayak and bike. The campground is clean and the current host is very helpful.

We were up at Dowdy during a period of constant rainfall. Nonetheless, we had periods when we could let the kids fish, climb rocks and walk around the beautiful lake. The campsites are fabulous. The camp host and camp manager- Mark and Bob - were especially helpful and accommodating.

This has got to be my favorite campground of all times. Nice big spaces, lots of room, quiet, beautiful… The cleanest bathrooms ever!!! You need to train the National Park people!

This has got to be my favorite campground of all times. Nice big spaces, lots of room, quiet, beautiful… The cleanest bathrooms ever!!! You need to train the National Park people!

From Fort Collins, take Highway 287 north for approximately 24 miles to Livermore. Turn west on County Road 74 and continue about 23 miles to Dowdy Lake Road. Turn right, then another right onto Dowdy Drive and continue to the campground.
Dowdy Lake is accessed via Highway 287, which is approximately 24 miles from Fort Collins. From Highway 287, the route continues on County Road 74 for about 23 miles before reaching Dowdy Lake Road.
