The Rec.gov reservations process is not user friendly and it has now become impossible to get the same campsite for more than one consecutive night. After multiple attempts, 6 months prior to our desired dates, we ended up having to reserve two different tent sites and had to breakdown our tent, etc. and move everything over to a different camp site after the first night. It made for a very miserable experience!! Not an enjoyable camping trip at all!! I've been taking my kids, and now grandchildren, up to Dowdy Lake for 44 years very enjoyable years, and it is no longer enjoyable! You have ruined the generational FAMILY experience!!

The camp hosts were amazing! They were friendly and made every site seem like we were the first people to camp there. This is the cleanest site we’ve stayed in. The bear vaults were clean enough to store food in bins, not just trash. The camping pad was freshly raked before our arrival. We had a wonderful stay and can’t wait to go back!
