It was good, we only were there for one night, so we will have to go back for a longer stay to judge more completely. We did feel rushed, since the people for the next night’s stay arrived an hour and ten minutes early. This isn’t on dowdy lake but on someone’s lack of respect for the lakes check in times. I feel that is why campgrounds have an hour buffer, I did feel the campground host could have addressed the issue a bit more. The restrooms were clean and I do plan to camp there at a future date.

One of the most beautiful locations ever.
Sites were nicely spaced. The cleanest toilet buildings ever. The water crystal clear and paths to walk or bike very easy.
No swimming . Great kayaking, canoeing, paddleboarding and fishing. Nearby general store . Fire rings. ✅

From Fort Collins, take Highway 287 north for approximately 24 miles to Livermore. Turn west on County Road 74 and continue about 23 miles to Dowdy Lake Road. Turn right, then another right onto Dowdy Drive and continue to the campground.
Dowdy Lake is accessed via Highway 287, which is approximately 24 miles from Fort Collins. From Highway 287, the route continues on County Road 74 for about 23 miles before reaching Dowdy Lake Road.
