Dowdy Lake is a beautiful camping spot! The campground hosts did an amazing job keeping the the campground clean for each new arrival. They did an especially great job keeping the bathrooms clean and well-stocked. Loved the fire works on July 3. First time we've seen that.
I have a concern about campers on electric bikes zipping up and down the campground roads, especially with so many young campers who can't recognize the gravel roads as actual streets where they should look both ways before crossing. Very dangerous!

Beautiful location, campsites are close to each other and parking is about 30 steps away for some campsites. Lots of light pollution from campers and RV lights even at night.

Camping at Dowdy is beautiful and wonderful. 5 stars if it had a nearby dump.
