Great campground! Loved the big sites, walking around the lake, and relaxing along the shore of Dowdy Lake.

We had a wonderful time camping at Dowdy lake. We stayed for 3 nights and enjoyed every minute. The campground was full, but very quiet at night. Bathrooms were very clean for pit toilets. We booked two more trips to Dowdy lake upon our return.

By far our best camping experience yet! Campground was very well kept and even the bathrooms were super clean! The host was very kind and informative. We had an excellent view of the lake. We’ll definitely be coming back.

This is a great site, the site is WELL taken care of,plenty of space to have guests, the view of the lake is good, it is a more secluded site and by the way the camp ground hosts are FABULOUS..

Site 29 has zero shade despite the website saying it was full shade. Camp host were great and allowed us to move to a different site. Dowdy lake is a great place to camp.

From Fort Collins, take Highway 287 north for approximately 24 miles to Livermore. Turn west on County Road 74 and continue about 23 miles to Dowdy Lake Road. Turn right, then another right onto Dowdy Drive and continue to the campground.
Dowdy Lake is accessed via Highway 287, which is approximately 24 miles from Fort Collins. From Highway 287, the route continues on County Road 74 for about 23 miles before reaching Dowdy Lake Road.
