Trying to reserve a campsite at Dowdy is very mysterious. Usually, when I look for a site, I find that they are 100% reserved. This seems strange. So I kept looking and got lucky and found what I was looking for last time.
The way the system works, it seems you can't reserve too far ahead because nothing is available
It sure would be helpful if there was a publication that spells out all the details of how the reservation system works.

A great little lake! Wife loves to kaiak there. Fishing is not so great as there is extreme pressure on the lake. Campground is clean. Getting a reservation at Dowdy is getting next to impossible, so good luck. You will enjoy your visit.
