The camp site we were at was amazing. Lots of space, and soace in between other sites as well. View of the lake and good beach access. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Quiet and beautiful we will be returning.

Great campground! Loved the big sites, walking around the lake, and relaxing along the shore of Dowdy Lake.

We had a wonderful time camping at Dowdy lake. We stayed for 3 nights and enjoyed every minute. The campground was full, but very quiet at night. Bathrooms were very clean for pit toilets. We booked two more trips to Dowdy lake upon our return.

From Fort Collins, take Highway 287 north for approximately 24 miles to Livermore. Turn west on County Road 74 and continue about 23 miles to Dowdy Lake Road. Turn right, then another right onto Dowdy Drive and continue to the campground.
Dowdy Lake is accessed via Highway 287, which is approximately 24 miles from Fort Collins. From Highway 287, the route continues on County Road 74 for about 23 miles before reaching Dowdy Lake Road.
