Campground nice, spaced out site 35 right by lake, easy to back up trailer into spot. Local had her kayaks and canoe by lake and came and told us to be aware of them while we were fishing. Hmm

We loved our time at Dowdy! During the week it was so peaceful and plenty of outdoors adventures for us such as paddle boarding, hiking and biking. We road our bikes to town and enjoyed a dinner out and some shopping in a small but quaint town. Our spot was 38 which is close to the water and very deep so you get a fantastic view of the lake. Tons of wildlife! Eagles, Great Blue Heron, deer, coyote and signs of bear although we didn’t ever see or hear it.

Well, the weather was excellent which is always the start of a good outing.
The camp host was friendly and informative.
We put the kayak in the water multiple times during our stay and it was a wonderful experience.
We'll be glad to go back, assuming we are lucky enough to get a reservation.

Love Dowdy. The camp hosts take excellent care of the grounds and the restrooms. And they're super nice people.
