Nice wooded campground with large, fairly level sites. We stayed overnight to visit a friend in Boulder. Easy drive and the Boulder Canyon road is amazing. It’s also just a few miles from Nederland: cool little town.

We stayed at #38 at the back surrounded by wonderful views. Restroom was very clean and potable water was close by, also a nice trail. It’s not far from some great trailheads and is close to Nederland, which has about anything you’d need. First wk of Sep 2020 we had our loop pretty much to ourselves. Hard to imagine a better place.

The campground was very clean, especially the bathrooms. Fellow campers observed the quiet after 10 rule. I will definitely go back.

The small size made it feel intimate. I miss the trees which had to be cut due to pine beetle disease. Reforestation is already occurring. The spacious feeling was good for visibility.
Peaceful until 6:30 Thursday morning when the trash pickup at the dumpsters occurred. The host forewarned us the night before but it was startling loud and went on for quite some time. What happened to “carry In, carry out?”
Maybe it was to keep everything clean for bear prevention?
There were bear boxes aNd the campground was spotless. In the future I will rise early and go hiking before 6:30!
I like the proximity to Nederland with its carousel of happiness and curbside (Covid cautiousness) eateries. Also lots of choices fir day hikes.

First attempt at dry camping. Length of site was pretty short. Maintenance and camp hosts were wonderfully helpful. Would have liked bear box to be closer to tow vehicle for easier transfer of coolers. Enjoyed the park

Clean and clear signage. There was no tent pad but we still found a spot flat enough for our large tent.

The sites are spaced apart, clean and the restrooms are the cleanest we have ever experienced. There is really no hiking out of this campground but there are trails both at Hessie Trail head and the East Portal. There is also Mud Lake and Caribou Ranch.

we went on a Tuesday night and loved the proximity to Boulder. It wasn´t very busy, but I will say our campsite was practically shared with the one next to us. While sitting at our firepits, we could hear each other's conversation. This campground is quiet and lovey, but I wouldn't say it is the most beautiful in the area. We like camping here for a quick drive to nearby trailheads to beat the crowds. :)

Nice, quiet campground with very clean restrooms. Was pleased to see they have a 3x day cleaning schedule for the restrooms (pit toilet building only, but the room was clean and did not smell).

Campground was in excellent shape, but the spot was tough to get into.
