I've never met a camp host as off putting as the one working here. She was not friendly. The sites are very close together, like 50 yards or less. Clean vault toilets and site. Highway noise, lots of motorcycles and trucks go by.
The people camping next to us arrived at midnight and set up all their stuff. The people across from us had a huge bright light that illuminated the campground. The vibes were just off here so we left a day early.

The campground, located just a short drive from Nederland, was overall great. However, the bathrooms were a bit of a letdown. Despite being clean, they were infested with flies. Most of the sites were quite close together, with only a few offering adequate spacing. The trail adjacent to site 34 was poorly maintained after the initial 200 yards, making it difficult to follow after about halfway. Fortunately, many sites, particularly site 34, provided decent shade. Unfortunately, Verizon service was unavailable throughout the campground. Despite these minor inconveniences, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and plan to return in the future.

This campground is easy to get to from Boulder. The camp host keeps the pit toilets very clean. They are a veritable fund of knowledge. Our campsite #29 was nice but near the playground that we did not know about. The sweet angels waken early to play.

Space 42 was great, not too close to anybody but close enough to the very clean bathrooms. Would stay again!

I stayed 2 nights and it was very pleasant. The campground was very quiet and the facilities were clean. I hit it just right: NO BUGS! Cool temps, clear views. My only issue was how unlevel the campsite was. I had more than a 2 ft step to my camper's step to get inside which took a toll on my knees. I have my next campsite picked out and it is a level one.

It was nice and quiet, which is really the highest compliment I can give any campground. I was glad they were enforcing the fire ban clearly.

Getting There
From Denver, go north on Interstate 25 to US Highway 36 west to Boulder. Take Colorado Highway 119 (Canyon Boulevard) west for 22 mi to Nederland. Continue south for 4 mi to the campground.
Policies & Rules
General
- RV water connections are not available. Utility hookups are not available.
- This is bear country! For bear and human safety, keep a clean campsite and do not place food or other attractants in your tent. For more information about visiting bear country, contact Colorado Parks and Wildlife at http://wildlife.state.co.us

- Don't Move Firewood: Prevent the spread of tree-killing organisms by obtaining firewood at or near your destination and burning it on-site. For more information visit dontmovefirewood.org.
- All campsites must be occupied within 26 hours of the beginning of the reservation. If not present the site will be rented by first come first serve basis.
- EXTRA VEHICLE FEES: One vehicle is included in your reservation. Any additional vehicles will be charged $8.00 per vehicle per night and will be collected by the camphost. There is not a way to pay for extra vehicles when you make your reservation. One vehicle consists of one camper being towed by vehicle, or any other vehicle towed behind camper. One van or one truck with camper attached counts as one vehicle.
- Fire Restrictions: Fire restrictions may be imposed at any time due to hot, dry weather conditions, at which time campfires and charcoal fires may not be allowed.
- RVs, trailers or other vehicles must fit on the parking spur. Driving or parking off road is not permitted.
- Pets must be on a hand-held leash at all times
- Modifications for this campground must be made through Recreation.gov PRIOR to your reservation start date. Customers and contact center agents cannot modify reservations on or after the check-in date.
