Very clean and well-spaced bathrooms! If you are looking for quieter sections in terms of road noise, try the back loop. It was nice to walk all three loops after traveling all day.

Very pretty area and the campsite was clean and had a huge table. The restrooms were very clean, even smelled nice! Our toddler loved the playground as well. Overall, a great experience.

Kelly Dahl is a nice campground to get away from the heat of summer and be near Nederland and Blackhawk Colorado. It is quiet during the week and busy on the weekends. Vault toilets and drinking water are well placed around the campground.
Several camp sites look to be so far out of level that they are unusable for RV camping.

I reserved my first site based on a map; the location showed it to be on the perimeter of the campground, so I assumed it would be more quiet and forested. There were no trees on the site (#41), so no shade. Worse though: an RV nearby had their generator running (for at least 2 hours) when I returned from my hike, stopped for 30 mins, then continued running it for at least another 2 hours. I packed up and moved to a more beautiful, shaded, and quiet site (26?) that evening to get away from the noise.

For the first time we had a really poor experience at this campground. (We have been camping at this campground for over 10 years) One site had more than the 8 people that were allowed, this meant the site was over crowded and very loud.

From Denver, go north on Interstate 25 to US Highway 36 west to Boulder. Take Colorado Highway 119 (Canyon Boulevard) west for 22 miles to Nederland. Continue south for 4 miles to the campground.

All campsites must be occupied within 26 hours of the beginning of the reservation. If not present the site will be rented by first come first serve basis. |

EXTRA VEHICLE FEES: One vehicle is included in your reservation. Any additional vehicles will be charged $8.00 per vehicle per night and will be collected by the camphost. There is not a way to pay for extra vehicles when you make your reservation. One vehicle consists of one camper being towed by vehicle, or any other vehicle towed behind camper. One van or one truck with camper attached counts as one vehicle. |
