One complaint. We were really impressed that each outhouse had a clearly marked (blue) recycling container. The end of our trip my wife and I took our recyclables to one of the containers and deposited them. Later that morning we saw the campground hosts come through and promptly take the recycling and dump it into the garbage dumpster. I was pretty angry and dug through the dumpster to retrieve our recycling. Everything else was great.

We stayed in a nice loop (sites 22-27) that still has plenty of trees and shade. It’s right next to the playground- which could be good or bad if you have little kids or seeking quiet. Would love to come back.

Clean site and toilets. Close great hiking areas, not noisy or overly crowded when there early in the week. Poor cell coverage, though generally expected. Going back!

Overall, we really enjoyed our weekend here. Close to a lot of hiking trails and plenty of pretty fall colors. We really enjoyed our site (24) and was perfect for our pop up camper that was only a little off level and easily corrected with standard leveling blocks and having a bear box was great as well to not have to worry about our food.
Bathrooms throughout the campground are pretty evenly spaced and the two we used during our stay were very clean.
Two things to look out for: Some of the sites are clearly more private than others. The back loop has a few areas with little to no tree coverage and with some of the sites closer together. Also, the common water spigots were shut off when we got there in October. Luckily the market in Nederland was only 10 minutes away to get a few gallons of water, but had we known, we would have filled up our fresh water tank at home rather than thinking we could fill them with jugs when we got there.

The campground has a lot of small and sunny sites, but I was lucky enough to find a shady quiet one, since that's what I prefer. The fire ring was very big, although I prefer not to burn trees while I enjoy the forest. The outhouse was well kept. I brought my own water, which was not a problem. The entry is near a lake which is beautiful at sunset. And the campsite is near Nederland and not far from different hiking spots on the Peak to Peak.

Nice 'no-frills' dry campground. Playground for kids looked great, but I didn't have any kids with me on this trip.

Kelly Dahl is a very nice park, and we enjoyed our 4 Day stay. They are located along the ridge of a lower mountain group, with plenty of very nice camp sites. The camp sites are large have power and are well maintained.

The great new toilets and bear food storage boxes were a surprising and welcome addition to the campground.
