When we got up to the campground, the camp host let us know that a bear's presence had closed the campground that morning. He had gone across the road to teh first-come-first-serve campground and reserved all of those sites. It was awesome because we and our friends were able to continue our weekend of camping and biking (and not have to go home!). Really wonderful on his part and that of his wife. Tons of extra effort!

You can hear the highway quite a bit for most of the night. That is my only complaint. The actual campground was very good and I love the proximity to the Colorado trail. The campsites are clean, friendly people, and great trees.

Site 15 was clean as were the toilets. Warm welcome from the camp hosts much appreciated. Good amount of road noise. Camped here prior to hiking Segment 6 of the Colorado Trail.
