What Guests Are Saying

Olive Ridge is a beautiful, well-maintained campground known for its clean facilities, friendly hosts, and spacious sites that offer plenty of privacy. Guests appreciate its proximity to hiking areas and the natural spring nearby. However, the lack of potable water and the occasional odor from the vault toilets are common drawbacks mentioned by visitors.

What a wonderful campground. This is one of our favorite places to go. Close to the national park and other activities. The host are really friendly and keep the campground and toilets clean. We are coming back and will continue to go back to Olive Ridge.

Every campsite at Olive Ridge is large, so even if there are campers in the next site, they are not right next to you. The sites are wooded and the campground is tucked away in a beautiful location. It's within 15-30 minutes from both Estes Park and Lyons for campers who want to visit the tourist towns, but it's quiet and secluded for those who want to refresh and relax at the campground. We enjoyed our stay at site 47, but as we left, we made note that there really is not a bad site at this campground. The reserve-able sites (Pika Loop) are farther from the road and therefore quieter, but the first-come first-served sites are still wooded and shady, although there may be some traffic noise depending upon the time of day. Bring a hammock, a book, a board game, etc... and enjoy this wonderful campground!

Beautiful campsites spread far apart so you feel as though there is a lot of privacy. Next to Mt Meeker and only 15 mins from Estes Park - a great place to get away.

A three-night stay here was the kickoff of my 10-day tour of CO national parks and other points of interest. I was very pleased with this campground. It was probably about three-quarters full during my stay in the second half of May, yet it was very quiet, especially at night. It was great to have this low-key respite from Rocky Mountain NP, which of course is great in its own way.

Despite my five-star rating, they NEED to get the drinking water restored. This was not a major issue for me, and I did know in advance, but for the nightly fee it is reasonable to expect drinking water to be available.

It's worth noting that several campsites were partially flooded, apparently due to spring thaw, but these were not near my campsite.

GREAT campground! Nice, flat, elevated spaces for tents. Great fire pits. Perfect picnic tables. Awesome and beautiful place to stay!

Only issue was that there were mice living in the toilets - like down inside them. It was not the greatest thing to see first thing.
