Good location relative to RMNP. Picturesque surroundings. Close access to public water source despite no water in the campground. Facilities VERY clean and pleasant and helpful camp hosts. Very quiet at night with the exception of one night closer to the weekend when a very rowdy group was disruptive well into the evening despite the efforts of the host and a dog at a nearby property barked most of the night. This may be an aberration but others have made similar observations in other posts as well. All in all not the best but far from the worst campgrounds.

This was a beautiful campsite. You are kind of close to people but still feel like you are in your own space. There is a visitor center about a mile away, a hiking trail with waterfalls close by to drive to, and another campground close by that you can pay for showering if you need to. I liked that there was a bear box, picnic table and a tent pad for each site. The tent pad is gravel for those who are wondering. Bring hand sanitizer and a light with for the bathrooms. Make sure you have enough water with. The people who run it are at campsites and not in a main building. Firewood can be bought through them or the visitor center. Great location between Estes and Boulder.

We really enjoy this campground, we visit every year. Its clean, the host are friendly and helpful. Like all Colorado campgrounds they are completely full during holiday weekends. Its also.nice that estes park is close by.

The campground is located on the west side of Colorado Highway 7, between Allenspark and Meeker Park at mile-marker 14. It is approximately six miles north of the intersection of Colorado Highways 7 and 72 (which is 21 miles west-north-west of Lyons), 15 miles south of Estes park, and 29 miles north of Nederland.
Elevation: 2540 feet

Policies & Rules
General
- Water is not available at Olive Ridge. Please bring all the water you will need for your stay. There are not utility or water hook-ups, dump stations, or showers within the campground.
- This is bear country! For bear and human safety, keep a clean campsite and do not place food or other attractants in your tent. For more information about visiting bear country, contact Colorado Parks and Wildlife at http://wildlife.state.co.us

- Don't Move Firewood: Prevent the spread of tree-killing organisms by obtaining firewood at or near your destination and burning it on-site. For more information visit dontmovefirewood.org.
- All campsites must be occupied within 26 hours of the beginning of the reservation. If not present the site will be rented by first come first serve basis.
- EXTRA VEHICLE FEES: One vehicle is included in your reservation. Any additional vehicles will be charged $8.00 per vehicle per night and will be collected by the camphost. There is not a way to pay for extra vehicles when you make your reservation. One vehicle consists of one camper being towed by vehicle, or any other vehicle towed behind camper. One van or one truck with camper attached counts as one vehicle.
- Fire Restrictions: Fire restrictions may be imposed at any time due to hot, dry weather conditions, at which time campfires and charcoal fires may not be allowed.
- Tents must fit on the pads provided. All campsites with a tent pad have a bear locker. RVs, trailers or other vehicles must fit on the parking spur. Driving or parking off road is not permitted.
- Pets must be on a hand-held leash at all times.
- Modifications for this campground must be made through Recreation.gov PRIOR to your reservation start date. Customers and contact center agents cannot modify reservations on or after the check-in date.
