What Guests Are Saying
Peaceful Valley offers well-maintained campsites and clean bathrooms, creating a pleasant camping experience. The friendly hosts and beautiful natural setting enhance the atmosphere, making it a favorite for repeat visitors. While some sites are close together and there can be noise from nearby roads and flies in the latrines, the overall ambiance and accessibility to scenic trails make it a worthwhile destination.

This was a beautiful campground and was perfectly maintained. The vault toilets were the cleanest that I've ever seen and the camp host, Ronnie, was very diligent in keeping each of the campsites as well as the toilets in tip top shape. The other campers were wonderful and the hikes nearby were terrific.

We enjoyed our stay in Peaceful Valley! Beautiful location. We actually had two bars of cell service, which was convenient. The tent sites are a little close together, but it wasn't a problem for us. The real highlight of our stay was interacting with Ronnie, the campground host. He was so awesome! We didn't have enough cash for firewood, but he kindly offered us some wood and fire starters for free! Additionally, later in the evening, he checked on us at our site to ensure that we were able to start and sustain a substantial camp fire. He is soooo awesome! Thanks Ronnie!

Beautiful campground. Campsite was next to the river, very peaceful and soothing. It is a small campground, but well worth it. Will definitely camp there again!

Ronnie is the most friendly and helpful camp ground host EVER! Cleanest out houses we’ve ever seen in a campground. I’ve been camping at Peaceful Valley since I was a kid, both of my parents ashes are scattered in the mountains there and we return annually to honor their memories. Campground is spacious and quiet. Don’t go!

The camp is beautiful. Weather was our problem but the camp can't control that. One thing of note is that several of the campsites are directly next to others. This was a surprise because in all the research I did to prepare, I did not find out about this until we arrived. For example 2 and 3 are together and 5 and 6 are together (parking is side by side and sites are adjoining) . We had 5 and didn't know who would be in 6. We lucked out that it was a great family with kids the same as ours. They became fast friends and we are thinking of camping together again next year. Just note it could also go very differently and you could end up right next to someone who has different views on camping than you do. The camp is very clean and quiet other than the occasional ATV or motorcycle and the hosts do a great job maintaining it. Vault toilets are the cleanest I've seen. There were several sites that were reserved where no one showed up. Probably a function of the weather our second day but we had good weather the first day and several sites were no shows. Might be a function of needing to make reservations 6 mos in advance and then life getting in the way. On the lower part of the camp each site has a little trail that goes into the woods and is very beautiful and easy to get a little mini hike in and the kids (ages 6 - 9) from both families loved being able to go play in the woods so close to the campsite.
