I LOVE this campground. Being so close to the water is fantastic, and being close to excellent hiking is also great. Campsites are close together; there is no shade and lots of exposure to wind. This is not the campground you choose for seclusion. But if you want to play in the water, use clean flush toilets, be able to drive to both RMNP and a grocery store and enjoy stunning views from all sides, this is the place to go. Walk-in sites have room for only one big or two small tents. Fire pits are large and well vented. And the stars are spectacular at night!
