Stunning views! Very crowded, a lot of foot traffic. Clean restrooms and showers! Cities nearby for restaurants. A lot of great hikes nearby. “Strawberry Lake” was our favorite. Would stay here again! Our camp host dog, “Maggie”, was the best!

Beautiful landscape. Make sure you do not rely on GPS to get there or you will end up on gravel roads with severe switchbacks. Even paved access is rough. Popular with OTV crowd for good reason. Trails are plentiful. Bathrooms not maintained at all. No hot water in showers even after reporting. No camp host. Cows graze freely in the park and poop in campsites as they wish. They are nice to be around but should be fenced off from camping areas. All the campers there were super nice. Lot's of locals who offered experiences.

Overall, a great place to camp right on the water. We picked this campsite because it was close to the western Rocky Mountain National Park entrance, which was a huge plus. Great value for the cost!

I Love Stillwater Campground. As Colorado is if you are tent camping plan for windstorms & rain. The water is cold. The beach areas are nice & have sand where kids can play. Big Beach Area's below spot #99. Stillwater Camp is next to a Boat Dock, you can even go camping in a boat & dock the boat the Boat Inspector says. Of the Campground There is one shower in the middle of the campground & all the bathrooms during season are flushable toilets & keep clean by the camp Hosts. There are only foxes no bears at this campground, so it is safer for kids & dogs in tents. Half the sites are reserve online the rest first come first serve that aren't listed in reservations sites, & those can be for 7 days with check or cash. I enjoyed my stay at Stillwater Campground. I had extra tarps & nail stakes for the hard clay soil ground for tent pads need heavy duty spike nail stakes & hammer. The sunrise/ sunset & Lake views are amazing & well worth camping at Still Water. Some site need a privacy guard for you see into others camper's sites. Lack of trees & closeness to other camper's is my only complaint. Privacy blockers can assist in that issue. Enjoy Stillwater Camp Ground I did!
