What Guests Are Saying
Stove Prairie offers a beautiful camping experience with great river access, clean sites, and friendly hosts. Our trip, as usual, was great. We love site #3, which is mostly in the shade, and quite large. The bathrooms are always very well maintained, and the newly reopened Youngs Gulch hike a few miles away was lovely. The trail has been almost completely rerouted due to the fire and flood damage from 2012. The trail used to run along the river in mostly wooded areas. Now it is mostly in the open, with beautiful views of burnt trees, wildflowers, trees and green areas. It does cross the river multiple times, so there are opportunities to play in the water. The complete trail is about 4.7 miles.
