Everything was great except the camp host made us throw all of our extra firewood and kindling into the woods before we left. I understand you're trying to sell firewood to the campers, but throwing piles of cut, dead wood into the forest is inconsistent with proactive fire prevention measures.

Highway access
West Chicago Creek is accessible via US Highway 6, approximately 10 miles to the north, and Interstate 70, roughly 15 miles to the west.

Utilities
- Guests must bring their own water as the well is not functioning and RV connections are unavailable.
Site capacity
- There are limited sites available on a first-come, first-served basis.
- Guests must remain on their reserved site; site swapping is not permitted.
- Tents must be placed on designated pads; RVs and trailers must use the parking spur, with no off-road parking allowed.
Wildlife & food storage
- Keep your campsite clean and do not store food in your tent to ensure safety from bears.

- This is a busy place and site swapping is not allowed.

- Campfires and charcoal fires may be prohibited during hot, dry weather due to fire restrictions.

- An extra vehicle fee of $8.00 per night applies for additional vehicles beyond the first included vehicle.
Cancellation policy
- Reservation modifications must be done through Recreation.gov before your arrival; changes cannot be made after check-in.
