Echo Lake

The bees made it impossible to make and eat food outside. We had to wait until it was dark when they didn't bother us. Also, black flies, big ones, were a nuisance. The low water level made the weeds prevalent and not good for fishing. Toilets could use more attention. Sites are too close together. Tent stakes could not be removed once they got secured, the ground too hard. Other stakes were left as well. Early Sept.

The campground was great, and the facilities were clean and well maintained by the friendly camp host. There are wonderful trails nearby -- we hiked to the amazing Chicago Lakes. The only downside was, unfortunately, significant: There was a sickening racket, for hours, at night when we needed to sleep, from cars or motorcycles with exhaust systems apparently modified to disturb others (we have similar issues near where we live) racing on roads next to the campground. It's a shame that law enforcement seems unable to do anything to curb this. We wouldn't camp here again, it was so bad. Very sad.

Easy to park, and nighttime is quiet.

The camp host was super friendly and informative. He came over and let me know he was available if I needed anything and shared information about recent animal sightings in the area. Echo Lake is a short walk away and the entrance to Mt. Blue Sky was near the parking lot. (Don't forget you need a reservation for entry during peak hours.) Overall, it was a peaceful weekend unplugged from everything with beautiful views even with the hail storm that passed through while I was at the lake.

Site was clean and a good size. We did not realize we would be right next to the trail and heavily used bathrooms, so it got a little busy. The camp host was awesome, very friendly and helpful. We will definitely camp here again, just maybe on the side of the campground.

The camp sites are nice but very close together. Look closely when you reserve. The camp hosts are great!

Nice camping site with beautiful hikes in the area.
Disappointed with the amount of vehicle and motorcycle racing going on in the evening. Very loud,very annoying.

Campground is easy to get to not far off the main road. Campground hosts were friendly. We stayed in 2 separate sites and they were both nice and wooded, but close to the friendly neighbors. If you want to drive up Mount Blue sky (used to be called Mount Evans) this is the campground for you! Wi-fi is available within 100 yards of the campground at the flagpole.

Lovely wooded campground with tent pads and picnic tables. Campground hosts were friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed our stay
