Echo Lake

Awesome little campground, everyone packed in tight but we enjoyed the mountain, trails right out from campground. Everyone was very friendly

Awesome place. Had a fox come and drink water out of a dogs water right in front of everyone. Saw moose. Fishing was great. Only used worms. And the camp host was super helpful and polite. Bring rain gear just incase because it’s on and off. No fires were allowed at the time but gas stoves were ok. Played board games while raining. Catch, soccer and a little hiking. Family friendly and fun all around. Lakes a short walk away.

Great campground!

The campground is excellent! The hosts were informative and cordial. We enjoyed a camp fire under Stage 1 restrictions and then were very sad as we were in Red Flag warning after that. Not under control of the Denver Parks hosts. The pit/vault toilets were exceptionally clean and tidy. We already have reservations for August to return. Access to Mt. Blue Sky Highway is only a few hundred feet away. Research the road access rules before you go! Nearby Echo Lake has a lot of fish and a lot of plants. Minor state highway 103 noise during the daytime and virtually none at night. As a RV Trailer Camper, researching your spaces is strongly advised. There is an old fashioned pump water hydrant with potable water there. It is well treed, shady, and dry. Be aware that there is none to little cell phone coverage and data. There are two excellent trails to the adjoining wilderness connected to the campground, which while we only did a few miles of, were lovely and green.

Great starting location to visit Mt Blue Sky

Great location for riding up Mt Bluesky and only an hour drive from Frisco CO to ride Vail Pass.

This is a small campground with some sites (including this one) suited to be paired with one right next door. Great for people needing two sites together. Other sites are normally spaced for more privacy. The camp manager is very friendly and doing a good job. This campground is located at high elevation and close to the entrance of the Blue Sky road to the top which is worth it. You need a prepaid pass to do that.

Small campground with some of the sites close together, but everyone was quiet and respectful. Camp host was friendly and helpful. Incredible hikes in the area without having to drive anywhere. Then can soak in Hot Springs 25 minutes down the road if so desire.

Very clean, great food lockers, well-designed. Couldn’t ask for more in site for pre-Blue Sky hike.

We’ve been camping at Echo Lake four years in a row now and it’s amazing. Amazing views amazing that wildlife comes and visits you at your camp spot and the weather is amazing.
