What Guests Are Saying
Echo Lake offers beautiful views and well-maintained hiking trails, making it a lovely area for outdoor enthusiasts. Many guests appreciated the cleanliness of the bathrooms and the attentiveness of the campground staff. However, some found the campsite spacing too close and faced challenges with signage and navigation to the campground. Overall, it's a pleasant spot for camping, especially for those seeking nature and hiking opportunities.

Extremely loud being right next to the public trail and bathrooms. Bathrooms were disgusting and had zero toilet paper. If I had known the campsite was next to a public trail I would not have booked it.

It was not possible to go into the side with an 28 ft RV, because of a ditch between the road and the parking space. We can't stay there. Very nice surroundings.

Echo lake said you could paddle board but the signs at the lake said you can’t. If you plan on going up Mt Blue Sky this is. A good place to stay. Other than that it’s not a good campground. People around were nice and respectful.

The campground is a bit cramped which is why I gave it only 4 stars. The location was excellent and the campground host was a rock star amongst campground hosts. He made our stay totally enjoyable.

Love Echo Lake campground. The hosts this year had it immaculate! We've been coming here for decades and the campground and facilities have never looked better!

Camp ground is small. Water is hand pumped from a well. The pit toilets are not as good as other camp grounds. It is right beside the Mt Evans gate and Echo lake.

This was my first time at a Colorado campsite and I had a great experience! It was clean, the campsite was brushed, no trash and accessible bear proof dumpsters. I think all most every spot was full, but it didn’t feel crowded, there was enough space between every site and everyone was very nice and would help you if you needed something, but also left you to your self so it felt calm and peaceful.
But what really made it a great experience was the caretakers! They were absolutely lovely. They drive around on a little golf cart and answered any questions you would have. They had firewood for sale if you forgot some, and a place to fill up water if you were low. I was a solo girl camper, and they kept an eye on me, made sure I get safe and comfortable, and made a note when I returned safely from my hike.
Really enjoyed my time at echo lake campsite!

I would recommend Colorado locals to book outside of the busy tourist summer. We had tourists walk on the campground and also check out what was in our food locker. Many people camp in the parking lot to see who left early.
