What Guests Are Saying
Echo Lake offers beautiful views and well-maintained hiking trails, making it a lovely area for outdoor enthusiasts. Many guests appreciated the cleanliness of the bathrooms and the attentiveness of the campground staff. However, some found the campsite spacing too close and faced challenges with signage and navigation to the campground. Overall, it's a pleasant spot for camping, especially for those seeking nature and hiking opportunities.

Nice spot! Lots of shade and privacy. Two parking spots. Level parking. Excellent experience. Lots to do in the area.

The campsites are close together but nice enough. The only bummer was the snow but that’s a risk you run. There are nice big bear boxes at each campsite. The bathroom facilities are decent.

Host was less than helpful and lacked knowledge about the area. The roadway was washed out and almost impassable. The campsite also had a large washed out area. Probably the worst overall we stayed at during our 3 weeks in the west.

The site is a little bit too close to the entrance gate to Mount Evans that we can hear the voice of people. The location of campsite is decent, close to Echo Lake and/or drive up to the summit of Mount Evans.

A bit crowded between sites. There is no water available. You have to drive back to Idaho Spring to buy bottled water.

Great clean campground. Website was deceiving and stated there was water on site but in fact there isn’t. Other than that, good stay.
