What Guests Are Saying
Echo Lake offers beautiful views and well-maintained hiking trails, making it a lovely area for outdoor enthusiasts. Many guests appreciated the cleanliness of the bathrooms and the attentiveness of the campground staff. However, some found the campsite spacing too close and faced challenges with signage and navigation to the campground. Overall, it's a pleasant spot for camping, especially for those seeking nature and hiking opportunities.

This is a beautiful and well kept campground! The latrines were spotless with no smell. My only complaint is that some spots are very close together probably could have been configured differently to avoid that! The staff at the lodge was very friendly and helpful! Great pie, burgers and beer in the restaurant!

A beautiful location, with access to several hiking trails. Gets cold due to the elevation, so pack warm layers.

Jim the camp host is great. Think it is his third year now. Always around if you have questions or need anything. Echo Lake is a great spot, lots of nice hikes right from the campground. The Lodge and the people who run it are amazing too. Be sure to stop in for breakfast or homemade pie and a beer. A walk around the lake at sunset is beautiful too.

Echo Lake Campground was a lot of fun! The only challenge was that some of the other campers were loud in the evening and woke up quite a few campers. We think it was isolated incident instead of the norm.

Echo Lake is gorgeous, lots of pretty places to walk, colorful mushrooms and flowers. The campground is typically nice, though this year's camp host has decided not to clean up sites after visitors leave -- granted, previous visitors were slobs and we tried to clean up after them as we were leaving, but is that not also the hosts job? Hopefully next year the campground will see a new host and all shall be well again.

Plan on being up with the sun because the road noise and west bound airliners will make sleeping-in difficult. Great access to Mt Evans for cycling & hiking. Contractor Host gets poor rating for toilet facilities cleaning. No where is it posted onsite that it is dry camp only this summer.

It was an excellent location for Mt Evans. Spots are well spaced, our spot #14 is not level! I liked the spot, next time we will bring lots of leveling boards for the back end. The only reason for taking off one star is water was not available. Not sure if dump station worked, but with out water we did not bother to try. The weather could have been better! I went for baby goat photos and for 3 days it rained/snowed the end of May and the babies stayed well hidden!😟. Can’t fault the campground for that!!!

Beautiful campground but be aware the sites are very close together. Also, you need a reservation to drive up Mt Evans.

It's a great little campground, the site was clean and neat, bathrooms worked. Can't beat the views.

I made a last reservaion on line and when I got there, as expected my reservation was posted. The site was great. Because of the fire ban
I took advantage of the Lodge for dinner :-). The rest rooms and site was very well kept.
