What Guests Are Saying
Echo Lake offers beautiful views and well-maintained hiking trails, making it a lovely area for outdoor enthusiasts. Many guests appreciated the cleanliness of the bathrooms and the attentiveness of the campground staff. However, some found the campsite spacing too close and faced challenges with signage and navigation to the campground. Overall, it's a pleasant spot for camping, especially for those seeking nature and hiking opportunities.

Campsites are very close together and the campground is close to the road. It's very loud during the day. There are trail heads right in the campground which was nice. Fishing in echo lake was great. However, this was not the camping experience we were looking for.

I had a great time here with my son. Not sure if it was the elevation or the quality of meat, but had one of the best steaks ever on the fire pit provided.

The campsite was clean, staggered enough to not feel like we were camping right next two others. The only issue I had was that the night before the road to Mt. Evans closed, a car club was racing their cars to the top for HOURS from 10pm to the early hours in the morning. It was well over 100 cars revving their engines as they raced up and down the mountain. I would definitely make sure to NOT stay there the Sunday night before Labor Day.

Easy to find my camp site. Was able to get wood from the gentleman that was working the camp ground. I was able to connect to trails from camp sites.

First camping trip for me and my then 6-year old son. Made it easy to car camp, and enjoy Mt. Evans the next day.

Clean campsite with bathroom close by. Fun fishing at the small Echo Lake. Caught and released several rainbow trout on a fly and bubble. We'll definitely be returning next summer.

We arrived and found a family camped in our spot. We searched for a host but found no one. It was the worst, most poorly managed camping site I've ever seen. There were plenty of parties and loud people around and all night long. Ended up sleeping in our car. Would never go back and never recommend this place. Too close to Denver. Lots of riff-raff and homeless looking people about.
