What Guests Are Saying
Pinon Flats Campground is well-regarded for its friendly camp host, Nancy, and beautifully maintained facilities, including clean restrooms and stunning views of the sand dunes. The campground offers a peaceful atmosphere, ample tree cover, and easy access to hiking trails. However, some sites are small and not fully accessible for individuals with mobility challenges, and issues with noise from other campers have been noted. Overall, it is a memorable camping experience with great amenities.

The campsites had plenty of space so you did not feel like you were right next to your neighbor.

Excellent group campsite. Restrooms facilities were clean and the site was a comfortable size for the group.

It was okay. Lacking in seeing any Rangers in campground. our sites were unlevel. Just seemed unhuman. All transactions are handled by an app.

I only had one night, but it was such a wonderful restorative 24 hours. No time for long hikes, so really appreciated the shorter Sand Sheet interpretive trail from the visitor center. Breathtaking yellows of the valle, then dunes, then mountains at sunset, moving slowly and stopping at each explanatory sign to be sure I could take it all in. Same next morning on the little Montville Nature Trail. Who knew yellow could have so many shades. One BIG gripe though: City level Street light GLARE from ridiculously bright lights around all the campground bathrooms!!!! Please, please, please remove those outside lights. Leaving on a light inside so folks can locate those buildings at night is plenty. I am quite certain that I am not the only tent camper that hates the bright, star blocking glare from those lights illuminating the tent all night.

View was great until a large camper trailer blocked my view of the dunes. Pull in surface was sloped 5+ degrees so I had to sleep at the opposite end of my bed!

Three steps up to site were small and cockeyed. Table was not on level ground.

Beautiful little campground in the national park. Quiet and well maintained. Sites are on the small size and leveling can be a challenge but you cant beat the location
