Incredible views. Kids caught their limit of fish in 3 hours. Someone took my campsite that we had reserved and refused to move. The camp host was got us an even better campsite for the night with a stream running next to it. We got reimbursed for the issue and had a free night stay. Great stay.

The Camp host failed to put my name on the campsite I had reserved and paid for 2 weeks prior. And the camp host gone and wouldn't return until the next day. When I arrived at 2:00 pm to my reserved campsite there was already a family set up at my site. It was an awful situation and the family argued and was angry that they were being asked to move. They finally did move to the campsite right next to mine. And they left their tent on the tent site that was for my campsite. The camp host failed to do their job and it had a negative impact on my experience.

One of our favorite places to camp. But, even thought the sign clearly say no atvs allowed through the campground, they are ignored. In years past the atvers were more respectful of the campers and parked in the provided atv parking lot.
Also, the current camp hosts have a cat that wanders through the sites. It adopted us, and we could not stop it from visiting us at every opportunity.
We still really enjoy this campground.

Site was beautiful! Lots of fishing and paddle boards which was perfect for us. Bathrooms were a little far, but even that is barely a con! Absolutely loved it. Camp Host had a little cat running around and would visit us too, so that was sweet!

O'Haver is a favorite spot for us. The lake is just the right size to paddle board , fish and walk around it.
I was disappointed to see that some reserved sites went unoccupied but we were able to get a reservation so it didn't impact our trip.

Crowded and busy on weekends. A lot of day use. A lot of ATVs. Fishing was good. Toilets were not as clean as I've seen elsewhere.

From Salida, Colorado: Travel west on Highway 50 to Poncha Springs. Turn south on Hwy 285 and travel for 5 miles. Turn right onto County Road 200 and continue for 2.3 miles. Turn west on County Road 202 and proceed 2.5 miles.

If reservations are not available, some campsites are first come-first served, also called "Walk-up" sites. First-come, first-served sites must be occupied the SAME NIGHT they are paid for. These sites usually fill Friday evenings and through the weekends. Due to the remote nature of campgrounds, calling to check availability prior to arrival is not possible. |

Campers who are unable to find a campsite at this facility may disperse, primitive camp in the area near Poncha Creek, Silver Creek and off the Marshal Pass road. Practice leave-no-trace (www.lnt.org) camping principles when dispersed camping. |
